Payment terms

If you’re at this page, we’re in the midst of figuring out the best way for developing and delivering your message, and agreeing on a fee. Thank you for your trust, and for choosing Find the Words.

Cancellation + buffers

  • I am responsible for delivering Google calendar event invitations. You are responsible for remembering your appointment times.

  • If you are missing when our appointment begins, I will wait 10 minutes before moving on with my day (15 minutes for in-person appointments). I may not be available to meet beyond the original ending time.

  • For 6-week sprints:

    • When we are onboarding, we’ll maneuver around holidays / vacations as-needed, and I will build in 2 weeks of buffer / “hold” appointments. There is no rescheduling fee within the buffer period, but things get wonky if you need to reschedule more than twice; my availability is not guaranteed, and I will charge a rescheduling fee ($125/appointment).

  • For all other engagements (including 2-session Book Plan and Manuscript Review sprints), I will charge a 10% rescheduling fee if you miss your appointment or reschedule for a non-emergency within 48 hours of our appointment.

Payment schedule

I send invoices via Stripe; you can pay via credit card. Thank you for paying on time!

For 6-week sprints:

  • 1 invoice with 10% pay-in-full discount, due upon signing contract, OR…

  • 3 invoices, each representing 1/3 of the total fee.

    • 1 due upon signing contract.

    • 1 between weeks 3-4.

    • 1 upon final delivery.

For all other services (including 2-week Book Plan and Manuscript Review sprints):

  • 1 invoice, due upon signing contract.
